AIRDOMES

There are two models of AirDomes for domestic swimming pools, the popular cable type and the waterbag system which is only suitable for sheltered pool sites and for pools up to a maximum size of 8m x 13m
(104 sq. m.)

AirDomes are supplied with a controllable air fan unit protected in a weatherproof glass fibre housing, 220/240 volt small fan 0.9amp., running current - standard fan approximately 2.0amp. - large fan approximately 3.5amp., all fixings necessary to install the AirDome to a suitable foundation, two access zipper type doors (one standard type zipper door, one ‘L’ shaped zipper door), air pressure relief valve and carrying hammock/storage sheet.

We offer a range of U.V. stabalised PVC materials, clear blue tint, bronze tint. These colours are also available in our standard reinforced grade.

Up to 130 sq.m. - Standard reinforced roof, non-reinforced sidewall.
From 130-230 sq.m. - All standard reinforced.

Standard AirDomes up to a size of 130 sq.m. are manufactured with a standard reinforced roof area and non-reinforced sidewall area.  This adds to the overall strength and stability of the AirDome. You can order an AirDome with standard reinforced bronze tint roof and clear non-reinforced side wall or any combination if required.

Zipper typre doors should not be positioned closer than 1.5m to any corner of the dome.  Sizes shown are for price guides and are for rectangular domes only. Any free-form shapes or unlevel deck areas will require a written quotation. Consult your local Planning Officer to enquire if planning permission is required.

AirDomes can be damaged in high winds. Care must be taken that the AirDome is deflated in calm conditions, before predicted bad weather.  Although a back-up generator may be installed, in the event of predicted severe gale force winds, we strongly recommend deflating and securing the dome skin. If the pool surround is constructed of timber decking or very uneven surfaces, provision will be required to seal the gaps between the joints to avoid airloss.

Cable Type AirDome
Can be manufactured to a maximum size of 10m x 23m - 230 sq.m. Once installed, quick release fittings allow the AirDome to be removed or replaced within a short space of time.  The cable type AirDome requires a good foundation to secure fixings.  An installation service is available in England, please contact us for details.

Plastic Waterbag AirDome
Requires a flat stable surface, and an area sheltered from high winds. The waterbag AirDome can be manufactured up to a maximum size of 8m x 13m - 104 sq.m.  The waterbags can be filled and emptied within a short space of time, which allows the AirDome to be removed or replaced within hours.
