How do you get hold of spares?
Many companies that sell pool cleaners don’t stock or sell any spare parts for the
machines - so what do you do if you need a replacement part?
Are parts held in stock?
Other companies often don’t hold parts in stock. If your machine needs a new part, even
under warranty - you may have to wait weeks on end for parts to be obtained.
We keep all recommended spare parts in stock for all current Aquabot models that we
sell and many parts for older machines too.
Cycle length
Robotic pool cleaners vary in cycle length, taking anything up to 6 hours to clean the
pool. The advantage of robotic pool cleaners over random suction cleaners should be
their speed and thoroughness of cleaning. If a robotic pool cleaner is taking 5 or more
hours to clean your pool - is there really much of an advantage over a suction cleaner?
Aquabot pool cleaners are the fastest robotic cleaners on the market, cleaning a
standard residential pool in approx. 1 hour.
Warranty period
What’s the warranty period on the pool cleaner?
Make sure that if the machine has a 2 year warranty it covers parts and labour for the
full 2 years.
Aquabots come with a 2 year parts and labour warranty.
Who is the warranty held with?
Is the warranty held with the people who are selling the machine or are they a middle
party?
Will this mean that if you have to send the machine back under warranty you will be
without a machine for weeks on end?
We carry out all Aquabot warranty work ourselves, so you deal direct with us at all
times. We do our very best to get your machine back to you within 7 days from the date
that we receive it.
Brushes
Some robotic pool cleaners sometimes require different brushes for different pool
surfaces. This often requires you to buy additional brushes for the machine.
Aquabots come with PVA brushes as standard which are suitable for all pool surfaces. If
you specifically require silicon brushes on your machine, we can fit these cheaper
brushes free of charge instead of the PVA brushes.
Cheap Chinese copy machines
Look out for cheap Chinese machines which copy other designs. They have no brand
name and therefore no backup, they use inferior quality parts and are ultimately
disposable machines.
Choose a well known brand
We would always recommend that you purchase well known brand. 99% of the time
machines are purchased without any demonstration or trial and therefore you need to
make sure that the brand has a good reputation for reliability and excellent
performance.
France have the largest swiming pool market in Europe selling approx 40,00 units per
year. Aquabot sales make up 50% of this final figure.
Delivery - are machines in stock?
Websites often advertise machines that they don’t actually sell. As strange as this
sounds, they simply do this to get more visitors to their website. When you call to order,
they try and talk you into a different cleaner that they do keep in stock.
We keep all Aquabot machines on our website in stock. Our delivery is 1-2 days - but
90% of the time the machine gets to the customer next day.
Is the company knowledgeable about their products?
Many pool companies are simply box shifters and know nothing about the products they
sell. This can often mean you are sold the wrong machine for your swimming pool, that
will not do the job you require. It is also frustrating if you need to ask questions prior to
purchase and means any after sales support is none existent.
We have factory trained engineers on hand to discuss the Aquabots in as much details
as you require. If you have any questions before or after purchase you can speak direct
to an engineer to guide you through any queries or problems you may encounter.
Filter Bag Microns
How many microns does the filter bag filter down to?
The lower the microns the finer the filtration.
A lot of other pool cleaners only have 50-100 micron filter bags.
Our Aquabot range have a 2 micron filter bag for incredibly fine filtration.
Price of spares
Check prices of spares, eg. filter bags, belts, etc.
Machines which appear to be very cheap may have expensive spare part prices.
Our standard filter bag (part no. 8100s) is only £29.50 plus VAT.
